Nicky Dean Rogers, 52, passed away August 17, 2011 in his home in Gardnerville, Nevada after battling cancer for nine months. A native Nevadan, he was born February 5, 1959 in Fallon, Nevada to Helen and Lindsey Rogers. He grew up attending schools in Yerington, Fallon, and Carson City, Nevada. He worked as a construction inspector before his illness. He loved roping, hunting, and all outdoor activities.
Nicky is survived by his five children, Cody Rogers, Kenna Rogers, Lorrianne Rogers, Guy Rogers, and Wyatt Rogers. He is also survived by his mother, Helen Rogers; his sister, Connie Gonzales (Mark); brother, Lindsey Rogers, Jr.; and sister, Pamela Castillo (Ken); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father, Lindsey Rogers and his brother, Rocky Rogers.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Walton's Chapel of the Valley, 1281 N. Roop St., Carson City, NV. (775-882-4965) Nicky will be buried in Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City. HE IS LOVED.
