The Carson City Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible murder after a man arrived at their Musser Street office this morning with brain matter on his truck.
Sheriff Ken Furlong said the man told officers he was in the Brunswick Canyon area with two friends, when one shot the other. The man, fearing for his safety, then fled and drove to the courthouse parking lot where he called 911.
Officers are scouring the hills in east Carson City for the alleged victim. The courthouse parking lot is cordoned off with crime scene tape around the man's vehicle.
The suspected shooter is in police custody.
