Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• A 23-year-old roofer from Carson City was arrested at 11:08 a.m. in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of misdemeanor probation violation. Bail was set at $3,000.

• A 24-year-old sales representative from Carson City was arrested at 10:37 a.m. Monday in the 2500 block of North Carson Street on two misdemeanor warrants for suspicion of failing to appear on traffic citations. Bail was set at $1,611.

• A 45-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 1:21 a.m. Monday in the 1000 block of Round House Lane on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,132.

• A 37-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 5:40 a.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of Airport Road on three misdemeanor warrants for suspicion of contempt of court.

• A 24--year-old security guard from Gardnerville was arrested at Koontz Lane and Silver Sage Drive on suspicion of misdemeanor second-offense drunken driving, failure to yield and speeding. Bail was set at $2,664.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:

• A caller reported at 9:35 a.m. finding a large green suitcase trunk near a Dumpster in the 1900 block of California Drive. The caller stated the trunk has flies swarming around it and "smells like a dead body." A deputy opened the trunk and found clothes.

• Report at 10:06 a.m. of a man in front of the Welfare Department on North Carson Street offering people free phones if they allow him to take pictures of their food stamp cards and medical cards. A deputy contacted the man and found he had a warrant. An arrest was made.

• Residential burglary report at 3:02 p.m. in the 1700 block of Rand Court.

• Vehicle burglary report at 3:39 p.m. in the 4000 block of South Curry Street.

• Accident at 4:46 p.m. at North Ormsby Boulevard and College Parkway.

• A woman inside a North Edmonds Casino had her purse snatched off her shoulder at 9:39 p.m. Deputies found the purse near an apartment complex on Brown Street.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:

• A woman reported at 6:18 a.m. she'd been receiving harassing phone calls and strange voicemails from the manager of her complex.

• Coroner call at 2:43 p.m. on West Newlands Drive in Fernley.

• Misdemeanor arrest at 7:28 p.m. on Mountain Lane in Mason Valley.

• Felony arrest at 7:27 p.m. on First Avenue in Mason Valley.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:

• Report at 3:30 p.m. of a malnourished horse on Territory Way.

• A woman reported at 6:06 p.m. on Canyon Way that she wanted to file a complaint against a speeding UPS driver.

• Report at 11:05 p.m. on Delta Drive of a "large bear in the front yard."
