A Carson City man remained in custody Monday after he was allegedly found at the river early Saturday morning with 22 grams of methamphetamine and an intoxicated 16-year-old girl.
Jose Perez Guzman, 37, was arrested at 4:34 a.m. Saturday on suspicion of felony furnishing drugs to a minor, trafficking in methamphetamine, gross misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia, misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor and an immigration hold.
According to the arrest report, officers stopped Guzman's truck near Lloyds Bridge on Carson River Road at 2:57 a.m.
When officers removed the girl from the car, she showed signs of meth use and officers reportedly found a methamphetamine pipe in the waistband of her shorts.
When asked the last time she smoked methamphetamine, the girl allegedly pulled two bags of methamphetamine from her bra. The total weight was 22.2 grams, according to the report.
She said Guzman made her hide the drugs and pipe, the report states.
The girl was taken to the hospital and medically cleared before being taken to juvenile detention.
Guzman was booked into the Carson City Jail.
He is being held without bail because of his immigration status.
