Carson City mother Lisa Hoeppner will represent the community in the upcoming Mrs. Nevada-America Pageant, to be held February 26 at The Suncoast Hotel Casino in Las Vegas.
The Mrs. Nevada-America Pageant is the premier pageant for married women and the official preliminary to the Mrs. America, and Mrs. World Pageants.
"I am actively involved in the community and will spend the year in public speaking and other community activities," Hoeppner said.
The Mrs. Nevada-America Pageant also supports Susan G. Komen For the Cure, Southern Nevada, Project Teddy, Leukemia Lymphoma Society, and American Cancer Society, as well as many other philanthropic causes, she said.
"I personally am a volunteer with the Carson City Sheriff's Department for Citizens on Patrol," she said.
"I am originally from Tennessee, but have been living in the Carson City area for nine years," Hoeppner said.
"I am married to the world's greatest husband and best friend, Daniel. I am the proud mother and stepmother to six boys: Jonathan 16, James 14, Jarrad 10, Daniel Jr. 9, Xander 8, and Mason eight months," she said.
"Our family likes to spend our time outdoors in the summertime and enjoy hunting in the winters," she said.
In order to produce the event, and to support the contestants in their community service efforts, pageant directors have asked each contestant to obtain advertising for the pageant program book. This does several things, which includes gaining community support as they represent their individual communities.
By participating in the advertising sales campaign, sponsors are supporting married women who care about their families communities and state.
"I am also looking for sponsorship to help cover the costs of the pageant and travel, and I am available to come to any public appearance you may need," Hoeppner said.
