Reno police were looking for a man Saturday who shared a cab with a robbery suspect slain in an altercation with the cabdriver Friday night.

Police were summoned to the Wonder Lodge, 430 Lake St., about 11:35 p.m. on a report that someone had defrauded a cabdriver. While officers were responding, an altercation occurred in the 100 block of East 5th Street between the cabdriver and a robber. The altercation resulted in the suspect being cut on the neck by the cabdriver. The suspect soon died, and the cabdriver waited for police.

The man who had been sharing the cab with the robber left when the cab arrived at the Wonder Lodge, before the alercation. Police want to speak with that man, who is about 6 feet tall and about 200 pounds, clean-shaven with short gray or silver hair. He was wearing a black jacket and neutral colored pants.

The identity of the slain suspect was withheld pending the notification of next of kin.

There are no charges being filed at this time, but the investigation is continuing.
