health inspections

The following health inspections are for the period of Jan. 18-24:

• The Timbers Bar/Lounge, 124 E. Eighth St., scored 100 points.

• Plaza Hotel & Conference Restaurant, 801 S. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Mallards Empire Ranch Golf Restaurant, 1875 Fairview Dr., scored 94 points. A supply of paper towels was not present at the kitchen hand wash sink. There was no certified food handler present at the time of this inspection.

• Adele's Bar/Lounge, 1112 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Adele's Restaurant, 1112 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Mustang Sallie's Deuce's Grill Restaurant, 420 N. Carson St., scored 96 points. Drain hoses from the counter sink and equipment were found to extend into the floor drain without an air gap to protect them from back siphonage or back flow contamination.

• Michoacan Restaurant, 557 S. Saliman Road, scored 91 points. The reach-in refrigerator in the back room was not working properly and was at 50 F and not capable of keeping food at 40 F or less. Cheese products which were just delivered and at 40 F or less were transferred to the reach-in refrigerator in the kitchen area. The concentration of chlorine chemical sanitizing solution for the third compartment of a three-compartment sink unit was less than 50 ppm. This was corrected on the spot.

• Kim Lee's Sushi & Teri Sushi Bar, 319 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Kim Lee's Sushi & Teri Oyster Bar, 319 N. Carson St., scored 100 points.

• Kim Lee's Sushi & Teri Main Kitchen, 319 N. Carson St., scored 98 points. A bowl of shrimp was found in the food prep table between 41-45 F or less. It was discarded on the spot and the operator advised to keep the cover down on the food storage bins when not in use.

• Panda Kitchen Restaurant, 1986 E. William St., scored 99 points. Prepared foods were found in the walk-in cooler and reach-in freezer stored for later use in containers which did not have labels with the date and item name.

• Save Mart Supermarkets #551 Seafood Department, 4348 Highway 50 East, scored 100 points.

• Save Mart Supermarkets #551 Meat Department, 4348 Highway 50 East, scored 100 points.

• Save Mart Supermarkets #551 Deli Department, 4348 Highway 50 East, scored 100 points.

• Save Mart Supermarkets #551 Retail Grocery, 4348 Highway 50 East, scored 100 points.
