A Carson City woman remained in custody Tuesday, accused of shooting her boyfriend in the head with a BB gun in a drunken rage.

Veronica Anne Rowe, 26, was booked into Carson City Jail at 7:18 p.m. Tuesday on suspicion of felony battery with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor domestic battery and a Churchill County traffic warrant.

According to the arrest report, Rowe allegedly began throwing glass jars in the garage of her Wingate Way home. When her boyfriend entered the garage to check on her, Rowe "shot at him with the BB gun several times," but missed, the report states.

The boyfriend retreated, and when he re-entered, she was allegedly banging her head on the garage floor.

When he told her to stop, Rowe allegedly picked up the BB gun again and began firing. One BB hit him in the head and another in the palm as he tried to deflect the shots. The boyfriend then wrested the gun away from Rowe and called police.

When officers arrived Rowe had allegedly barricaded herself in the garage. Upon entry officers found her hiding under a workbench, the report states.

A preliminary breath test indicated her blood alcohol level was .19.

Bail was set at $30,000.
