Kathryn Cowperthwaite of Carson City was named to the dean's list for the fall 2010 semester at the University of Vermont.
Cowperthwaite is a first-year student English major in the College of Arts & Sciences.
To be named to the dean's lists, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.
Christine DuPuis, of Minden, was among more than 2,500 students from the University of Massachusetts Boston who made the fall dean's list.
UMass Boston has an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 10,690 students and offers degrees in dozens of academic majors. UMass Boston was one of 218 colleges and universities to recently make The Princeton Review's "Best in the Northeast."
Kaitlyn Davis, a resident of Silver Springs, was among the students from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne who were named to the Dean's List for the fall semester, which ended in December. Davis is a Forensic Psychology major.
To be included on the Dean's List, a student must complete 12 or more graded credits in a semester with a semester grade point average of at least 3.4.
Kristin N. Rush of Carson City made the deans list for the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus 2010 fall semester.
To make the dean's list, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.66 or higher while taking 12 or more credits.
Christine Gansberg, a resident of Carson City and student at Carson High School, has been admitted to Concordia University, St. Paul for the fall 2011 semester. Gansberg was awarded the Presidents, Lutheran Heritage and Church Vocation scholarships. These achievements provide a total of $14,000 in funds.
Concordia University, St. Paul is a comprehensive, private university operated under the auspices of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
