Carson High's ski team pulled off a fourth-place finish at the final Tahoe Ski League race of the season at Diamond Peak on Wednesday.
The girls placed fourth and the boys fifth. Next up for Carson is the state meet Feb. 28 and March 1 at Sierra-at-Tahoe.
Danielle Beasom led the girls with a 16th-place finish, clocking a 1:06.25 on her two slalom runs. Jessica Roberts finished 25th in 1:17.64 and Mary Novak was 26th in 1:18.04. Fiona McElhany was 30th in 1:26.10, Samantha McCarty was 31st in 1:28.40 and Kylee Johnson was 32nd in 1:28.68. Taylor Laird was 34th in 1:40.19 and Carolyn Carter was 36th in 1:44.83.
Carson's top skier, Katherine Fulwider, missed the meet because of a concussion.
Skylar VanRensselaer posted an 11th-place finish in the boys race with a 48.65. Simon White was 31st in 1:06.12, Andy Garcia was 34th in 1:09.07, Chris Fernandez was 37th in 1:25.18, Chris Foss was 38th in 1:34.51 and Tim Whited was 39th in 1:40.48.
