Earned His Salary: The Appeal has frequently taken occasion to allude to the condition of affairs by which Lieutenant Governor Jewett Adams drew a good salary for working one month out of twelve. Yesterday, in giving the deciding vote in the Senate by which the Williams resolution (regarding freights and fares on railroads) was saved from being tabled, he did is duty and earned his salary for the year.

Four sheep herders are missing and fear is entertained for them. The men were last seen in Northern Washoe County and have not been heard from since that time. A posse has been organized and will look for the men.

Gov. Carville has signed the Farndale bill. The new law requires municipalities organized in another state to qualify to do business in Nevada and be subject to Nevada laws. It will require the City of Los Angeles to observe Nevada Laws.
