From Frank T. Gilbert (continued from Wednes-day): Nu-Ma-Ga rode from camp to camp, and from friend to friend trying to stem the tide of war. It was there he was told in silence that all were against him. Then he went off by himself with his face to the ground and would speak to no one. Without food day passed to night and night to day with Nu-Ma-Ga laying there as if dead. On the third day the chiefs came to him and said: "Your skin is red but your heart is white, go live among the paleface." (Continued on Friday).

Little news comes from members of the State Police who have taken up the trail of the murderers of four shipmen in Northern Washoe County. With no telegraph or phone, the only news comes from couriers.

Sam Mariani of Dayton was killed and seven others injured in an automobile collision at the Virginia City Junction of the Carson-Dayton road. Mariani was a dredge operator in Dayton.

The Kit Carson Toastmas-ters are in the final stages of the annual speech contest with Hallie Walters, Dick Lane, Charles Moran, Bob Weide-man, Charles Keever and Joe Cowperthwaite in contention.

Micheal Forte, a chef at the Hyatt Regency in Incline Village, said the best part of his job was seeing the smiling faces of people eating his food while at a career fair for eighth graders.
