Governor to attend BAWN dinner on Jan. 18

The Builders Association of Western Nevada will host its annual board of directors installation dinner on Jan. 18.

The event starts at 5 p.m. at the Gold Dust West in Carson City, 2171 Highway 50 E.

State Sen. James Settelmeyer will be the master of ceremonies. Gov. Brian Sandoval will administer the oath of office for the new board members.

Senate minority leader to address business leaders on Jan. 19

State Senate Minority Leader Mike McGinness will address the next Nevada Business Connections breakfast meeting on Jan. 19.

Doors open at 7:30 a.m. at the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa, 3800 S. Virginia St., Reno. McGinness will talk about the upcoming legislative session.

Organization for marketers to meet

The Carson Area Marketing & PR Network will meet at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 5 at the Business Resource Innovation Center, 108 E. Proctor St., Carson City.

Letter to shareholders from Mexus Gold

Paul Thompson, the CEO of Mexus Gold U.S. of Carson City reflected on 2010 in a recent letter to shareholders:
