Julie Renee Martinelli Wall, beloved wife of Kevin, lost her courageous battle of 7 months to lymphoma at St. Mary's Hospital on Jan. 11, 2011. She was born at that same hospital on Nov. 23, 1959, to Elmo and Nancy Martinelli. Raised in Reno, Julie received her early education at Little Flower Catholic School and graduated from Wooster High School in 1977.
Julie had a great career with the U.S. Postal Service, celebrating 30 years at Reno Main in May 2010. She was truly dedicated to her job as a mail carrier where she enjoyed an outstanding relationship with her co-workers. People on her routes around the city knew her as a very cheerful person with a warm and friendly personality.
Kevin and Julie loved their home that is dominated by their two Rottweilers. They were known for the wonderful parties enjoyed by so many. In their leisure, they spent summers houseboating, sailing in San Francisco bay, camping with friends, trips to Mexico as well as their families.
Julie will truly be missed by her husband, Kevin; her parents Nancy and Elmo; her brother Greg and his wife Becky; her brother Craig; and her sister Sheila Caramella. She also leaves behind her in-laws, Nancy and Skipper Wall and her brother-in-law, Scot and his wife, Tracy, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16 at the Boys & Girls Club, 2680 East 9th Street, Reno.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Julie's name to the Boys & Girls Club or the Humane Society.
