Star party offered at the observatory tonight

The Jack C. Davis Observatory will open at 6 p.m. today for its weekly Star Party.

There will be telescope viewing if the weather permits. The week's lecture, "The Quest for Alien Worlds," begins at 7:30 p.m. The subject covers the efforts by astronomers to find new planets orbiting distant stars. The lecture includes a PowerPoint presentation and a short video.
