Carson City road report for Jan. 24-30

For the week of Jan. 24-30:

Clearview Drive is closed between Edmonds and Line drives for construction on the next phase of the freeway project. Detours are marked. The road is expected to reopen by November of 2011.

On Monday, Fifth Street will be closed between Carson and Stewart streets from 5:30-7 p.m. due to the governor's State of the State address.

The following is expected to occur due to sidewalk and utility work. There will not be any road closures, but use caution when traveling through these areas.

• Sidewalk improvements will occur at Northgate Lane and Nye Lane.

• Shoulder work will occur at Stanton Drive and Monte Rosa Drive.

• Shoulder work will occur along Elaine Street.

NDOT will have one southbound lane closed on Highway 395 from Eastlake Boulevard to the Carson City/Washoe County line, Monday through Thursday between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Musser Street will be closed between Carson and Curry streets Wednesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. because of to utility work.
