Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Jamie Rae Moore, 35, a laborer from Carson City, was arrested at 7:13 a.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of Shadowridge Drive on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation. Bail was set at $2,500.

• John David Jones, 30, unemployed of Carson City, was arrested at 10:56 p.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of Brown Street on suspicion of felony home invasion, assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of misdemeanor battery. Bail was set at $25,000.

• Carlos Lainez, 34, a waiter from Carson City, was arrested at 6:47 p.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of Brown Street on suspicion being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Also arrested was Melanie Leanne Cervantes, 26, of Carson City, on suspicion of felony possession of prescription drugs without a prescription, possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear; Rigoberto Vega Aguilar, 30, of Carson City, on suspicion of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm; Amanda Medrano, 30, a student from Carson City, on suspicion of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, felony possession of prescription drugs without a prescription, possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, and Manuel Ricky Medrano, 31, of Carson City, on suspicion of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Each is being held on at least $20,000 bail.

• Kasey Alan Nichols, 38, a plumber from Carson City, surrendered to the Sheriff's Office at 11:31 a.m. on a warrant for suspicion of felony third-offense domestic battery. Bail was set at $25,000.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:

• Report at 10:24 a.m. of the tennis court net sliced up at the former Boys & Girls Club on Stewart Street, cans of paint scattered around, a fence pushed over and a shed was broken into. Deputies located two juveniles possibly responsible.

• A Carson City resident reported at 12:31 p.m. they'd received a ticket from Las Vegas and they'd never been to Las Vegas.

• Coroner call in the 3000 block of North Ormsby Boulevard at 8:19 p.m.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:

• Misdemeanor arrest on Ardmore Street in Silver Springs at 12:12 p.m.

• An El Camino hit a power box knocking out power to an area on Windchase Drive at 5:20 p.m. in Dayton.

• A Fernley aunt reported at 4:47 p.m. that her nephew took off with her vehicle and medication.

• Report of a man sleeping on the side of a convenience store, then urinating on the sidewalk on Highway 50 Alternate in Fernley at 7:20 p.m.

• Report of the same man panhandling door to door on Walker River Way at 8:05 p.m. The caller recognized the man from the Washoe County Sheriff's website and an arrest was made.
