Karson Kruzers know how to put on a car show
I would like to congratulate and thank the Karson Kruzers for hosting an outstanding 27th annual Run What Cha Brung car show June 24-26 at Fuji Park. After 27 yearly events, they obviously are doing something very right.
This family friendly event was well participated and the quality of cars and people it attracts year after year is extraordinary. Of course, Fuji Park is the perfect setting to display the beautiful and diverse array of cars.
I would also like to express my sincere thanks to the Kruzers for again honoring my husband, BJ - a founding member of Run What Cha Brung - by presenting an award in his memory. Those who knew BJ will agree that while he was not a man of few words, he was modest and down to earth, letting his talents speak for him. I am truly grateful to the Kruzers for keeping his memory alive.
Carson City should be proud of the Karson Kruzers and the contributions they bring to the city. Mark your calendars for next year - you definitely do not want to miss this event.

Thanks for hospitality during 40th reunion
The Carson High Class of 1971 would like to thank The Firkin & Fox and Mallards at Empire Ranch for their hospitality during our 40th reunion events last month.
We would also like to thank the Carson Parks employees who cleaned up the west pavillion at Mills Park so quickly on Sunday so our picnic could be held.
Some classmates hadn't been back in 40 years and were amazed at the changes in our town.

Carson City
Carson City is a small city with big-hearted people
During the last three summers in your fair city, it has been my good fortune to have met an exceedingly large number of very considerate and helpful people. Without going into detail, they and their employers cover a wide spectrum of businesses which I would like to publicly acknowledge as follows:
Kristie and Valorie at Western Nevada College, research assistance; Cindy at Office Max, document preparation; "DJ" at Walmart, eyeglass repair; "Grizzly" at Walmart, auto service; Greg at Carson Station, customer service; Karen at Carson Station, banquet assistance; Leon at Fandango, customer service; Marie at the Nugget, property return; Steve at Nevada Division of Forestry, auto repair; Vanessa at Gold Dust West Grill, outstanding service.
All of these individuals went "beyond the normal call of duty" without any expectation of re-enumeration in providing outstanding customer service and truly deserve this recognition.
Sincerely,
Dave Knutsen
