Pvt. Tyler Charles recently graduated from the Army Training Center at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He is the son of Stephen and Angie Charles, of Carson City. Charles is a graduate of Silver State High School in Carson City.
The soldier is with the First Battalion, 61st Infantry Regiment with the Nevada Army National Guard.
After the 12 week boot camp, Charles attended by another 12 weeks AIT training at Fort Lee, Va., to qualify to work as a petroleum supply specialist.
