(AP) - Nevada wildlife officials have captured a mother bear and two cubs in a Carson City neighborhood.

State Wildlife Department spokesman Chris Healy says the three bears wandered into the area on Sunday.

He says one cub was caught in a trap Sunday night near West Washington Street about a mile west of the state capitol. Wildlife biologists tranquilized the other two bears on Monday.

Healy says a state tattoo shows the mother had been captured and released in 2004.

He says they'll do an investigation to see if she's been in any other trouble. If she's not a "problem bear," he says the trio probably will be returned to the wild as soon as Tuesday.
