Obituary: William S. (Bill) Loyd

Oct. 15, 1946 - July 25, 2011

William S. (Bill) Loyd of Dayton, Nev., passed away July 25. He was born October 15, 1946 in Reno, Nev., to Edgar and Thelma Loyd.

Bill is survived by his wife Susan; sons Gregory, Christopher, and Seth; brother Ken Williamson; granddaughter Navanha; and several nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by parents, Edgar and Thelma, brother Richard, twin brother Thomas (Tom), and infant son, Dustin.

Bill enjoyed many career paths. He was accomplished at ski patrol, Fireman and EMT at Tahoe Douglas, and Chief of Security at IGT. He always gave every undertaking his all. He leaves a legacy of love and laughter, and will be missed by many.

A memorial lunch service will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 12:30pm at Connected Church, 3569 US Hwy 50 East, Carson City, Nev.
