The Northern California team pushed ahead to a 16-stroke win in the Girls Junior Americas Cup golf tournament at the Genoa Lakes Golf Club on Thursday.
Northern California, led by individual medalist Paige Lee, shot a three-day, 54-hole total of 640 (8-under par) to win the tournament.
Hawaii (656) and Oregon (656) tied for second, San Diego was fourth at 658 and Southern California was fifth (659) in the 18-team tournament.
The Junior Americas Cup draws the top female golfers between the ages of 14 and 17 from around the Western United States, Mexico and Canada. Participating teams are made up of four players and represent the best of their respective regions.
Each team's best three scores count toward the team total each day.
Northern Nevada's team shot a 799, taking 17th, but Gardnerville resident Koko Terada - one of only four 14-year-old in the tournament - lead the team with a three-day 265. Her best round of the tournament came on the second day when she shot an 83.
Lee, a Folsom, Calif., resident, shot a three-day 209.
Monica Vaughn of Reedsport, Ore., took second (211) and Aliea Clark of Carlsbad, Calif., (213) was third.
