Pregnancy center to dedicate ultrasound

The Knights of Columbus, Reno Diocese, have presented the Community Pregnancy Center of Carson City with a new Toshiba Nemio Ultrasound system. The ultrasound offers the chance to see a fetus inside the womb.

To celebrate, the public is invited to a dedication ceremony and open house at 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at the center, 222 E. Washington St., Ste. 5, Carson City.

The Community Pregnancy Center, a non-profit organization serving Carson City and the surrounding areas since 1983, provides free pregnancy tests, options counseling, limited obstetrical ultrasound exams, pregnancy and parenting classes, and material support to women and families facing unplanned pregnancies.

This will be the second installation of an ultrasound machine by the Knights of Columbus in the State of Nevada.
