Betty Jo Eaton

Betty died suddenly after a short illness at Carson-Tahoe Regional Medical Center. Betty grew up in the San Lorenzo, Calif., area and graduated from Hayward High. She met her future husband Ernest Eaton when he sold her a car. They dated for less than six months before they married. They were able to pay for their wedding and honeymoon when Betty nominated her mother Margaret Breeden for "Queen for a Day" and she won. One of the prizes was a honeymoon to Hawaii. After their marriage, Betty and Ernie continued to live in the San Lorenzo area and started their family. They had a son Blayne and a daughter Julie. Betty worked as a bookkeeper for many years until she retired as her husband Ernie had been transferred in his job with Lucky Stores to Reno in 1980. Betty is predeceased by her husband Ernest Eaton; parents Fred and Margaret Breeden; granddaughter Tricia Breanne Hornback; son-in-law Colonel Mike Casey. She leaves behind her son Blayne (Robin) Eaton of Carson City; daughter Julie Casey (Tom Bender) of Reno; two brothers, Fred (Lee) Breeden of Carson City and Mike (Kathy) Breeden of Tracy, Calif.; grandchildren Chad (Cari) Eaton, Brian Eaton, Heather (Chris) Gorby, all of Carson City, Sean Hornback, Todd Hornback of Reno, and great-grandchildren Cooper, Chloe and Cyler Eaton, Giana and Brooklyn Gorby and Landon Hornback all of Carson City. Services will be private.
