The Retired Senior Volunteer Program's annual July 4th celebration will be in Carson City's Mills Park July 1-4.
The four-day event features a carnival with all-day ride passes every day for $25. A $5 off discount coupon is available at www.nevadaruralrsvp.org or may be clipped from the June 29 and July 1 editions of the Nevada Appeal. New Toyota trucks will be on display next to the carnival midway.
Sponsors of the fireworks are: Carson City Toyota-Scion the Carson Nugget, and Gold Dust West. Also supporting the fireworks show were Carson City, NV Energy, Wells Fargo, Carson City Convention and Visitor's Bureau, Michael Hohl Automotive Group, Adele's Restaurant and carnival operator Wold Amusements.
The carnival features 20 rides, games and attractions and lots of kiddie rides.
The fair opens at noon on all four days. The fireworks show over Mills Park is 9:15 p.m. July 4.
Proceeds from the fair go toward the Retired Senior Volunteer Program's Home Companion, Respite Care, Lifeline and Transportation programs which assist low-income seniors to remain living independently in their own homes.
