Waterhouse and Hodges wed in Texas

Kelly Waterhouse, formerly of Lake Tahoe, and Donald Hodges of Tyler, Texas, were married on Jan. 1, 2011, in Houston.

The bride is the daughter of Karen Smith-Waterhouse, of Shreveport, La., and Riley Waterhouse of Carson City and the granddaughter of Maureen and Ed Waterhouse of Carson City. She graduated from high school in 2003 at Louisiana School of Math, Science and the Arts, Natchitoches, La. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemisry in 2007 from Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport and was a awarded a Doctor of Medicine on May 28 from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center at Shreveport. She began her residency at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas, with Baylor College of Medicine and plans to specialize in pediatrics.

The groom is the son of Don and Helen Hodges, of League City, Texas. He graduated from Clear Creek High School in League City in 2005, and the University of Texas at Tyler in 2009 with a degree in civil engineering. He is studying for a Masters in Civil Engineering at UT.
