A few days ago Doc Benton was circulating round with the boys until his actions became of so much comment that the rumor was he was cooking up a new county ticket for '82. Instead, Benton found a spring in the center of town and has filed a location notice and is starting a company ... until it was found the new spring was but a broken water pipe.

Our esteemed morning and evening contemporaries, the Appeal and News have locked horns on the speed limit for autos. The Appeal urges slower speed and the News poo hoos the suggestion. The Appeal man does not own an auto and the News man owns two.

The Nevada Museum and Art Institute, established in 1939 by the legislature and located in the old U.S. Mint building has received another generous contribution from Major Max C. Fleischmann toward renovating the second floor of the building. The Museum can now accept collections.
