FALLON - A Fernley woman was killed Thursday morning on Highway 50 Alternate in Lyon County.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, Michelle Marie Parsley-McClelland, 22, died as result of the 8:08 a.m. accident 15 miles east of Fernley.
Nevada Highway Patrol Sgt. Tom Ames said Parsley-McClelland was eastbound in a Chevrolet Tahoe when she attempted to pass a commercial vehicle and lost control. The Tahoe rolled, ejecting Parsley-McClelland. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her two young daughters, one of whom just turned a year old on June 8, were also in the vehicle. They were not injured.
Ames said the children were wearing seatbelts, but the mother was not.
