RENO - A fugitive task force led by U.S. marshals has tracked a 61-year-old Michigan man to rural Nevada and arrested him on four counts of criminal sexual conduct with a child.
Lyon County sheriff's deputies assisted federal agents in arresting Warren Frank Tuer in Yerington, about 70 miles east of Carson City.
Tuer was arrested without incident Wednesday afternoon on the warrant out of Allegan, Mich., about 25 miles northwest of Kalamazoo. His alleged victim was under the age of 13.
Nevada U.S. Marshall Director Christopher Hoye says it's a good example of how federal, state and local law enforcement agencies can effectively pool resources to pursue and capture fugitive sex offenders.
