The probabilities are that Carson will soon have an observatory with Astronomer Friend at the wheel. It has long been known that whenever someone wants to know about gales, storms and frosts, the very core of such knowledge can be found with Friend. The proposition is that the government will reward him with the observatory.

Senator Nixon will have a mining rescue car on display for students at the Nevada School of Mines. The display of the car was a result of the deplorable accident at Belmont.
