Clemalee Buckner Kelley Shaw, 86, a resident of the Carson City area since 1972, passed away peacefully at her home Friday, March 4, 2011, with her family at her bedside.
Clemalee was born in Savanna, Okla., on Jan. 3, 1925, to Samuel David and Clemmie Holt Buckner. She attended school in Savanna, later moving to McAlester where she met and married her lst husband, Lealand L. Kelley, with whom she moved to Hawthorne, Nev., in 1947. It was in Hawthorne she married her second husband, Howard B. Shaw.
Through her life she held many positions, most recently as the front desk clerk at the Silver Queen Motel where she was known by all as simply "Grandma."
Clemalee was predeceased by husbands Lealand Kelley and Howard Shaw; her parent; brothers David and Sam; sisters Pearlie and Eileen; stepdaughter LaWanda Kelley Rapp; greatgranddaughter, Shelby Nichole Millard; nephews Tracy Buckner and Bobby Lawson.
Clemalee is survived by her daughter, Jodi Liebhard (Gary) of Dayton; son Sam Shaw (Sharon) of Carson City; grandchildren Dwight Millard Jr. (Jeana), Michael Millard (Renee) all of Carson City, Kelley Radow (Marc) of Reno, Shannon Millard of Redding, Calif., Tera Bogni (Frank) of San Diego, Calif., Keith Watson of Virginia; great-grandchildren Cameron and Mason Millard, Adam, Gabriel, Jacob and Rachel Radow, Kaden and Trinity Millard, Ryan, Keira and McKenna Bogni; brother Samuel J.D. Buckner; nephews Wallace, Tommy, Harold, Rick and niece Deanne all of Oklahoma; nephew Bill Lawson of Dallas, Texas. and niece Dena Sue of Arlington, Texas.
A private memorial for the family will be in Carson City and Chambers, Okla.
