Genoa: It is said Genoa is so dull that whenever a dog barks in the village the population turns out in the street to see if there is a stranger coming to town.
St. Patrick's Day: Today will be consecrated by all patriotic Irishman to the commemoration of the great St. Patrick. The green flag will be given to the free air and the memory of the never-to-be forgotten Saint washed down with the best wine that can be uncorked.

Sons of Erin: The Sons of Erin celebrated St. Patrick's Day in a quiet manner. There was no over-indulgence in intoxicating beverages and Ed Sweeney's green flag was unfurled alongside the stars and stripes. Everyone wore a green ribbon.

The Ormsby county draft board sent questionnaires to the holders of order numbers 80 to 100. They are: Thomas Furlong, John Chartz, Ralph Blanchard, William Gibson, Robert Shriver.
