Ronald Fischer, a 19-year resident of Carson City, died in his home on March 15, 2011, after a long illness. Mr. Fischer was born on July 19, 1951, in Sun Valley, Idaho, to Phenoy Fischer and Helen Shipp.
He married his wife Debbie on June 21, 1982, and later was sealed to Debbie for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple.
He served in the military. He was also employed in various jobs including truck driver. Among his survivors are his wife Debbie of Carson City; daughters Nancy of Cold Springs, and Sarah of Fairfax, Calif.; son Shane and wife Deb of Houston, Texas; brother Don of Twin Falls, Idaho; eight grandchildren and numerous extended family members.
A viewing will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2011, at FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Carson City. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at the LDS church on 411 N. Saliman Rd. in Carson City. Burial will follow at the Northern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Fernley.
