Obituary: Edna Ruth Whitten

 Edna Ruth Whitten of Carson City died April 25, 2011. She was born Aug. 28, 1931, in Dallas, Texas, to Mary Ross Williams and Joseph Eliga Williams. She is survived by her son Jim Whitten of Huntington Beach, Calif.; daughters Patsy Whitten of Carson City, Mary Phillips of Fallon, Evon Flaig (Richard) of Escondido, Calif., and Linda Casselman of Carson City; 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Whitten; son Charles Whitten and daughters Jenny Gregory and Dianna Rodriguez. A service will be at 2 p.m. May 21 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 706 College Pkwy. Washoe Memorial, Reno is in charge of arrangements.
