Rummage sale planned

Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church will host a rummage sale 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m. May 21. The church is located at 3680 U.S. Highway 395 near Best Buy. For more information, call 267-3680.

Spring Tea and Fashion Show at St. Gall Church

Tickets are on sale now for St. Gall Women's Society annual "Spring Tea and Fashion Show" fundraiser, which will be at noon May 21 in the St. Gall Pastoral Center, 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville.

This year's tea will include, a champagne preview of the decorated tables, raffle prizes, silent auction, and a sit down tea with variety of mini sandwiches, scones, breads and desserts and a fashion show from local shops, "Ruby Rose," "Especially for You," and "Sidestreet Boutique."

To purchase a ticket, contact Lesley Solt at 775-265-5719, or buy at the weekends Masses. Tickets are also on sale in the church office during the week.

Night of contemporary worship music planned

Valley Christian Fellowship in Gardnerville Ranchos will host a concert at 7 p.m. May 26 with four worship bands from the Carson region: Once Refused, FireFire, Jacob Taylor and I Am "They."

All the bands will have tables set-up to sell CDs and other merchandise. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door, and are available at Valley Christian Fellowship, Napa Auto Parts in Gardnerville, The Manger Bookstore in Carson City, Itickets.com, Calvary Chapel in Carson City and San Rafael Coffee Co. in Carson City.

Christian women's monthly meeting planned

Sierra Nevada Christian Women's Club presents their monthly luncheon 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. May 17, Tamarack Junction, 13101 S. Virginia St., Reno, in the casino's banquet area. Reservations required.

The guest speaker is Helen Pachaud, a reluctant off-road motorcycle enthusiast who tells how to ride out the tough times.

Featured presentation is by Sina Ward, director of Senior Outreach Services at Sanford Center for Aging.
