Obituary: Carrol George Varner

Carrol George Varner, 72, of Carson City died May 18, 2011. He was born July 11, 1938, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Carrol T. and Martina (Hubert) Varner. He is survived by his wife, Josephine (Pickens) Varner and his children Martha Panela, John (Lisa) Varner, Timothy (Ann) Varner, Mike and Cindy Pickens; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings Jacqueline Varner, Shirley (Varner) White, Bob M. Varner, and Pamela (Varner) Byers. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Beverly (Varner) Austin. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Autumn Funerals & Cremations. Burial will follow at the Genoa Cemetery. Donations can be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or The Cancer Society. Autumn Funerals & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
