Albert Cecil Stillwell, born Oct. 22, 1920, passed away May 21, 2011, at home with his children Jeffrey and Margaret Stillwell at his side. Al was the eldest of nine children and grew up in Sheboygan, Wisc. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1947 after serving in WWII, where he trained flight crews. He got married and moved his young family to California in 1951, where he owned and operated several businesses in the real estate industry before retiring to Carson City in 1991. Al was a lifelong member of Kiwanis, a world traveler, and he enjoyed flying his own airplane. He was predeceased by six of his siblings and by his wife, Harriet. Al has five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He will be remembered for his wisdom, generosity, and practical nature. A viewing will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Autumn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist church. A committal burial service will be at 3 p.m. at the Lone Mountain Cemetery.
