A Carson City woman was jailed Thursday after allegedly slashing another with a knife over a dispute involving a broken television.

Wanda Louise Buckley, 54, was booked into the Carson City Jail at 10:48 p.m. on suspicion of felony battery with a deadly weapon.

According to the police report, officers were called to the 1000 block of Woodside Drive on a report of a disturbance at 10:16 p.m. There they found a tenant who said Buckley had attacked the tenant's friend because Buckley claimed a television the tenant had sold her for $35 wasn't working, according to reports.

The woman said that Buckley was yelling at her when her friend intervened and that Buckley slapped the friend in the face. The police report says Buckley then ran into her apartment and returned carrying two knives, swinging them wildly at both women. In the melee, the friend was cut on the neck. The injury was not life-threatening. Buckley's bail was set at $30,000.
