In memory of our loving mother MaryAnn Frauenheim Cote' who passed away October 29th, peacefully entering her new home in heaven.

MaryAnn was 81, born in Detroit Michigan in November 1929. Her family later moved to Pasadena, Calif. where she received her 12 yr. education at the Mayfield Catholic School for girls. Naturally athletic, she excelled in sports and was captain of the basketball team 2 years in a row.

During those years she found a sport she loved even more, and went on to become an accomplished figure skater.

In 1947 she married Louis J. Cote' and later, she and their daughter joined him in Africa, where he was serving in the military stationed in Asmara, Eritrea, a small country in Africa.

Upon returning to the states, they resided in southern Calif. until 1955, when another move took place to June Lake, Calif. There, Maryann was busy raising 4 children and running Carson Peak Inn. She was never afraid of hard work. One of her great projects, was building rock walls for the hillside gardens in front of the family home. She was absolutely thrilled when she received her very own cement mixer! She loved being outdoors.

In 1964 the family purchased a 365 acre alfalfa ranch in Smith Valley, Nevada, where she continued to help with the family business and raise their three sons.

Her final move was to Carson City, Nevada in 1969, where she remained for the past 42 years.

She is survived by her sister, Ruth Singleton of Orange, California; four children, Louanne Hess (Steve) of Reno, Steven Cote' (GiGi), Louis Cote' (Marti), and Tom Cote' (Gloria) all of Carson City, 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 6 nieces and nephews. Her kind spirit and love for her family will be missed very much. No services will be held and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community in Carson City. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is trusted with the arrangements.
