James 'JR' Robinson passed away November 21, 2011 in Carson City, NV, after a long battle of Alzheimer's. JR was born on January 28, 1925 in Circleville, Utah. James and his family lived in Kearns, Utah for twenty-two years. Later they moved to Carson City, NV, living here for the past thirty-five years. JR managed the Charbroiler. Later he worked at Fremont School until his retirement. James loved fishing he also loved to dance. He was an Eagle member for forty-two years, serving as President, Western Regional State President and 'Mr. Eagle'. He was a member of the LDS church.
James leaves behind his wife of sixty-five years, Marge Robinson; and two daughters, Madeline Robinson of Carson City, NV and Pamela Jordan (Daniel) of Coos Bay, OR.; a granddaughter was adopted as a daughter, Lisa Jean Robinson; son, George Rowland (JoRene); daughter-in-law, Maria Cavin (Tom); eight grandchildren, Alisha ( Kimmie), Daniel (Jenny) and Johnathan Geordge, Mathew, Jessica and Erin Jordan , Brook and Cody Cavin; and six great grandsons, Raymond, Jordan, Seldon, Theo, Austin and Cavin.
JR is a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Navy.
There will be a visitation Friday, November 25, 2011 5:00 to 7:00pm at Walton's Chapel in Carson City, NV. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 2:00pm also at Walton's Chapel. Burial will follow at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in JR's honor to the Alzheimer's Foundation in care of Carson Eagles Auxiliary at 1380 E. Fifth St. Carson City, NV 89701.
