Victor Pardini, 81, passed away at home October 2, 2011 in Carson City, NV. Victor was born in Yerington, NV on December 10, 1929 to Tom and Pearl Pardini moving to Carson City where he resided. Victor married Louise Laird in June of 1951. They were married 49 years until the time of Louise's passing.
Victor graduated from Carson High School and then attended University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA for two years majoring in music and voice. He worked in the gaming industry his entire working career starting out at his father's casino, Tommy's Victory Club. Victor went on to work at Harvey's Wagon Wheel, the Ormsby House and retired after 35 years from the Carson Nugget as a day shift pit boss.
Victor was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many. In his younger years, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mostly, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Victor was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Knights of Columbus and St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Victor was also a Sergeant in the Army National Guard Reserve.
Victor will be missed by many. Among his survivors are his four children, Linda (Scott) Rabideau, Karla (David) Prehm, Diana Powers and Mark (Suzanne) Pardini, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Victor was preceded in death by his wife, Louise, parents Tom and Pearl Pardini, sister Dora Williams and brother Tom Pardini.
A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday October 13, 2011 at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 3000 N. Lompa Lane, Carson City. Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery. A Celebration of Victor's Life will immediately follow the burial. Arrangements entrusted to Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City.
