Robert Frederic Gray passed away at his home on October 10, 2011 in Carson City, NV after a short illness. He was 80 years old. He was born March 5, 1931 to Irene Askew Gray and C. Wilson Gray, the youngest of four children. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Gray; his son, Robert T. Gray of Carson City, NV; daughter, Brenda Gray Munoz and son-in-law David Munoz of Carson City, NV; brother, David Gray and sister-in-law Vivian Gray of Livingston, MT; sister-in-law, June Gray of Chateau, MT and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be missed by everyone, including his dog Mitzi.
He joined the Marines after high school and was a combat veteran of the Korean War. Leaving as a Sergeant, graduated from Montana State University with a B.A. Degree in Forestry. He worked for BLM for 20 years.
He has been a resident of Carson City for 31 years, and hobbies were gardening, football and baseball games..
He had been working for the Carson City Community Transportation Company. Most recently, was driving a Jump Around Carson bus on a fixed route. He will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him and will live in our hearts and minds.
Bob did not want any services, however, the family will celebrate his life in a private gathering at his home later this month.
Capitol City Cremation and Burial will be in charge of arrangements. He will be buried in the Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City, NV, in the Veteran's section with an Honor Guard.
