Carson High alum awarded $800

Jose Martin Sosa, a Tulane University biomedical engineering graduate student, was awarded an $800 prize in the graduate level math/science technical category for a poster presentation at the 2011 Hispanic Engineers National Achievement Awards Corporation Conference.

Sosa, a 2007 graduate of Carson High School plans on a career in the medical device industry after earning his Master's degree.

Sosa completed his bachelor's degree from Tulane University in Biomedical Engineering in May 2011. He also is a member of the Tulane University Marching Band.
