Obituary: Richard "Dick" Hanson

Richard 'Dick' Hanson, 67 of Gardnerville, Nevada died August 29, 2011.

Mr. Hanson was born on October 13, 1943 to Marion & Richard Hanson in Duluth, Minnesota.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

In 1979 he married Cecille Hanson and they owned and operated Cal Sierra Disposal and raised a family in Sonora, California for 21 years.

In 1997 he retired to the beautiful Carson Valley where he enjoyed friends, family, quad riding, jeeping in the hills, having coffee with the boys and 'working' at his shop.

He is survived by his beautiful wife of 32 years, Cecille; daughter, Deidre and husband Hans Bayer of Sonora, CA; daughter, Kristen and husband Larry Trauner and daughter, Angele Hanson of Gardnerville, NV, along with 5 adored grandchildren-Josie, Gretchen, Cole, Karly and Lila.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marion; father, Richard and brother, Don.
