Kenneth "KC" Collins, 86, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2011 in Carson City, NV. KC was born December 13, 1922 in Oklahoma to Claud and Artie Collins.
He is a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Army. While stationed in England he met and married his wife June.
KC raised his family in Sunnyvale, CA. Following his retirement he moved to South Lake Tahoe, CA. After his wife passed away in 2003 he moved to Carson City.
KC enjoyed having his breakfast, playing keno and visiting with his many friends almost daily at the Carson Valley Inn.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife June who passed away on September 3, 2003, the same day as KC eight years prior. Also a daughter, Diane who passed away in 2008.
Kenneth is survived by one daughter, Beverly (Mario), two granddaughters, Lisa and Lesley. Four great grandchildren and two brothers, Henry (Marty) and Pat (Billie).
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
There will be a visitation Thursday, September 15, 2011, 3:30 to 6:00pm at Walton's Funeral Home in Gardnerville. Funeral services will be Friday, September 16, 2011 at 9:30am also at Walton's. Burial will follow at Happy Homestead cemetery in South Lake Tahoe, CA.
