Police have identified the Carson City woman wanted for questioning in connection with a hit-and-run accident Thursday that critically injured a 30-year-old Carson City man.
Sheriff's Detective Doug Speegle said police are trying to find Crystal Trujillo, 26, in connection with the accident, which occurred at 5:09 p.m. Thursday at Steamboat and Fairview drives.
According to police, Trujillo was arguing her boyfriend, Shilo Richards, 30, as they sat in her car facing east at the intersection of Truckee and Steamboat drives. Witnesses told police that Richards got out of the car and began walking west on Steamboat Drive on the sidewalk. They said Trujillo turned her car around and it jumped the curb, striking Richards and carrying him on the hood until he slid off, according to police.
Sgt. Mike Cullen said Trujillo then drove over Richards. He was found unconscious, and witnesses told police Trujillo drove away, south on Fairview Drive.
Speegle said Richards' injuries are substantial. He had not regained consciousness by Friday afternoon.
Trujillo is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, with brown hair and blue eyes. She weighs about 150 pounds. Speegle said she's known to change her hair color from black to blond. Witnesses said the driver of the car had blond hair. Her last known address is in the 1700 block of Southridge Road in the Northridge subdivision. She was last seen in a 1997 tan or gold four-door Toyota Camry with Nevada license plate 124WPW.
Anyone with information on Trujillo's whereabouts or the car is asked to call 911.
