Bethena "Beth" J. Denham-Baker passed away peacefully March 15, 2012 at her home in Boise, ID. Born June 22, 1917 in Spokane, WA to George M. and Marie J. Beeman-Denham. Beth was the youngest of four girls, Mrs. Nanta Belshaw, Mrs. Roberta Fowler and Mrs. Pearl Love. All have predeceased her. She attended Libby Jr. High and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane, WA, 1938. She met and married Gerald W. Baker "Buck" on July 26, 1941. They moved to Idaho Falls, ID in 1960 for Buck to follow his dream to own his own business. She and Buck loved to entertain and were always open to having someone over at a moment's notice. Beth's hospitality was generous and only eclipsed by Buck's outgoing love of sharing good times with their family and friends. They made a great team. Retiring in Pocatello, ID, Buck Baker died in 1989. Beth moved to Boise, ID in 2006 where she lived with her youngest son, Bill, until her passing. Beth was always a loving and supportive wife and mother. She loved to garden, sew, play bridge and work at church. She especially liked to attend Mass which she continued to do until two weeks prior to her death. Beth couldn't resist a warm smile and a greeting. We will all miss her. She is survived by three sons: Thomas R. Baker (Elaine), Carson City, NV, Douglas P. Baker (Etta), Boise, ID and William G. Baker, Boise, ID; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one granddaughter.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00am, April 19, 2012 at St. John's Cathedral, 775 N. 8th Street, Boise, ID.
