Dentists thanked for vets clinicThe Adopt a Vet Dental Program (AAVD) would like to thank the dentists and staff of Drs. Holmes, Mannikko & Beglin for their outstanding dental service to our low-income veterans.On Nov. 9, they held a one-day free clinic to coincide with Veterans Day and assisted 35 veterans with multiple extractions, fillings and cleanings and donated $23,023 in pro bono dental services.We salute Drs. Holmes, Mannikko & Beglin and their incredible staff for a well-run, organized and compassionate clinic. And it is with sincere gratitude from AAVD and the assisted veterans that we thank them. During the week of Dec. 10, our employees collected 11, 006 pounds of food and other needed items which were then delivered to the Carson Valley Community Food Closet. Dozens of bags were left in all our neighborhoods or delivered to the business office.Thank you to our employees for their efforts. Also, thank you to Park Ranch and Storage for the use of their scale and warehouse.The generous hearts of the Carson Valley are part of what makes this such a special place to live.
