A California man was killed 29 miles east of Fernley on Interstate 80 Sunday morning.

Bradley Weimer, of Burson, Calif., had been driving west on the interstate when he drifted toward the center median, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

The car continued to travel through the median, toward the east-bound lanes when it rolled several times, and crossed both east-bound lanes before it came to a stop on its wheels.

Weimer was wearing a seatbelt. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Trooper Scott Morron is investigating the crash and can be reached at 775-689-4623 regarding case number NHP-121220919.

Mt. Rose Highway crash victim identified

A 50-year-old Reno woman was killed in an accident Friday on the Mt. Rose Highway near Joy Lake Road.

Tracy Scott, around 1:52 p.m., may have pulled onto the highway from a driveway before losing traction on the snow-covered road, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol. Her GMC Yukon traveled into the opposite lane and was hit by a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup towing a two-axle utility trailer.

Kurt Heinrichs, 36, of Reno was driving the truck and suffered injuries but was released from the hospital Friday. Scott was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
