Sean Sever named communications director for NDOT

Sean Sever has been named communications director for the Nevada Department of Transportation.

As communications director, he will oversee NDOT's public information, multimedia, customer service, public hearings and photography sections. Sever previously served as energy outreach coordinator for the governor's Nevada State Office of Energy, public information officer for the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada and Western Nevada College and general manager of the Pinon Plaza Casino Resort in Carson City. He also served as chairman of the Carson City Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Sever graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1991. He is a native Nevadan and lives in Carson City with his wife and three children.
